Patrick Sieben

In this series, we introduce you to the cast and crew of The New World Horror. Responsible for making the screams and sound effects, Patrick (also know as Seven) brings his experience mixing audio for various music projects to the film.

Tell us about what you are working on for the film.

Adam and I are in a band together call The Shabelles. We’ve recorded the last two CDs ourselves and I was tasked with mixing/fixing the audio to get it ready for mastering.  When I heard Adam was working on the film I was interested in the audio side of the project. Recording hardware/software, microphone levels and placement, pre/post editing. I guess Adam agreed it would be a good thing.

What is your favorite horror movie and why?

I’m not a big fan of Horror movies. The drive-in double feature of The Exorcist and Night of The Living Dead, that my uncle Jack took me to when I was 9yrs has something to do with it.

What are you most looking forward to about working on this movie and why?

Working with all these incredibly talented, creative, crazy cool people. I look forward to seeing the final result of this collaboration and knowing I had a part in making an Independent film!!

How would you survive a zombie apocalypse?

It’s a little known fact that, like aliens with huge buttheads, zombies hate Slim Whitman. The zombie’s brain doesn’t explode, it just curbs their enthusiasm to eat yours. So I will be blasting Indian Love Call from a military base somewhere in the desert.

About Patrick: Pat (aka Seven)  is a part time musician and audio engineer, full time dreamer. His interests revolve around supporting the local music/arts scene in Madison. Currently works for TDS Telecom in Field Service and guitarist for The Shabelles, The Sinchiladas and The ‘Mares or any other band that starts with “The”.  Has been doing live sound, recording and mixing for…years. Hallelujah I’m a dreamer.
